This page is devoted to a beautiful collection of hand-made chair hammocks from Central America.
They are exceptionally comfortable and very different from the hammocks made of fabric which are more readily available in the UK. Their quality and attention to detail is superb. E.g. Look at their fixings. Unlike the fixings on inferior quality hammocks, these have METAL protecting the fixings to prevent wear and tear:

After considerable consultation with the suppliers, who have been making hammocks since the 1950s, A Green Mouse selected 8 different colour combinations which you can see below. The attractive canvas bag carrying the A Green Mouse logo was made by a company in Suffolk and is supplied free with each chair hammock together with a strong metal hook!

Instructions:
1. The rain will fall through these hammocks so they will dry quickly. They are extremely well-made and worth looking after. Do not leave them out in the rain all the time, but do not put them away wet either. The hammocks in the photo gallery below have been well-looked after and have lasted 17 years so far!
2. Hang from a branch, beam or ceiling that will support your weight. To reach a high branch tie your rope securely to a strong bag containing a heavy object and throw it over the branch. Make sure nobody is standing nearby!
