1. SER and ESTAR = To be
Here is a lovely video for beginners with questions asking ‘what is it?’ and ‘where is it?’ followed by engaging pictures and examples of ‘es’ and ‘está’ in context. Each character is described using two sentences, one using ‘ser’, the next using ‘estar’:
2. SOY and ESTOY – practice using the 1st person of SER and ESTAR in the present tense:
This video is almost identical to the one above but the verbs are in the 1st person to give students practice using ‘soy’ (1st person of SER) and ‘estoy’ (1st person of ESTAR):
